**Job Title: Welder and Fabricator** **Job Description** We are seeking skilled welders and fabricators to join our team. You will be responsible for welding large tanks ranging from 1/4 to 3 inches using blueprints. The primary welding technique will be flux core dual shield welding with .045 wire, and occasionally 1/16" wire. Proficiency in welding 2g horizontal, 3g vertical, and 4g overhead is essential. Please note that there are no TIG requirements for this position. **Responsibilities** + Weld large tanks using flux core dual shield welding with .045 wire. + Read and interpret blueprints accurately. + Perform welding in 2g horizontal, 3g vertical, and 4g overhead positions. + Conduct weld tests on 1/2 inch plates with an open root and back grind. **Essential Skills** + 3+ years of experience in flux core welding. + Proficiency in reading blueprints. + Experience with dual shield flux core welding. + Ability to weld in 2g horizontal, 3g vertical, and 4g overhead positions. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Possess basic tools including adjustable wrenches, wonder bar/pry bar, 3 & 5 lb mallets, tape measure, and chipping hammer. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy the benefits offered as a direct employee, fostering a supportive and rewarding work environment. **Work Environment** The position is located in a steel fabrication yard that is covered but open to the air. The schedule follows a 1st shift starting at 4 AM and ending at 2:30 PM, working four 10-hour days from Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday. Currently, the team is working five 10-hour shifts. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
