FULL DESCRIPTION :

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Oversee all technology assets and evaluate them according to organization’s goals
• Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs
• Assess the current state of systems and analyze available solutions to determine whether improvements are necessary to meet the needs of production, office, and vessels
• Purchase efficient and cost-effective technological equipment and software
• Align the company’s technology resources with the organization’s short-and long-term goals
• Keep current on new developments in information technology, and plan for future upgrades and organizational changes
• Assist staff to diagnose and solve all business equipment and computer system issues
• Ensure security of company’s network and computer hardware
• Provide technical support to employees with software and hardware issues
• Participate in ad hoc projects as directed by management to meet department objectives
• Communicate with co-workers, management, and others in a courteous and professional manner
• Abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions

The selected candidate will also possess:

• Education and/or Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in business, computer systems, networking, information systems or engineering is required. Must possess a strong command of and knowledge with system installation, maintenance and operations, domain servers, systems security and risk management, and advanced knowledge of hardware and operating systems.
• Language Skills: Ability to read, comprehend, and compose instructions, correspondence, and memos in English at a business professional level. Must possess the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Skills and Ability: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, commitment to company values, and skilled with analytical problem solving. Must possess organization and manage multiple projects with critical deadlines. Will exhibit flexibility, demonstrate self-initiative, and have the ability to work independently. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing assignments.
• Essential Skills: Strong background and experience managing business application implementations. ERP System used is Intecta or knowledge of a similar ERP System. Knowledge of Windows Server, Windows 10, Microsoft Office 365, including Exchange Server and Windows Defender. Understanding of SD-WAN and network routing protocols. Ability to work with Security endpoints like FortiGate and Meraki Firewalls. Must possess a basic knowledge of DHCP, DNS, and WI-FI standards. Experience with Citrix and Azure cloud technologies.
• Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to sit for longer periods of time than normal; use hands to handle tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, crouch; and talk and hear. The employee must be able to move up to 20 pounds.
• Work Environment: The work environment is an office environment often requiring time worked beyond business hours. A willingness to travel is required as needed. When traveling the work environment changes and exposure to weather conditions and increased noise levels are expected. Salary Range: $115,000.00 to $130,000.00/year
