Shift: 1st Shift | Monday Friday | 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
Job Summary
Seeking a General Maintenance Technician II to support operations and maintenance in a data center environment. This role provides intermediate-level troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on building systems, HVAC equipment, mechanical components, and general facility infrastructure. The position requires working independently within a multi-craft team and may involve minor carpentry, painting, and sheet metal tasks. Must be able to identify safety concerns and perform equipment evaluations to prevent failures.
Key Responsibilities
Perform planned and corrective maintenance on building systems and equipment.
Operate and maintain HVAC systems, including pumps, fans, compressors, air dryers, and ventilation equipment.
Troubleshoot pneumatic, electrical, and electronic control systems.
Perform preventive maintenance inspections and update CMMS records.
Assist with installing and inspecting new equipment.
Maintain spare parts inventory and communicate parts usage.
Support coworkers, vendors, contractors, and engineering teams during projects and renovations.
Follow safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and company policies.
Use diagnostic tools, meters, and testing instruments to identify issues and improve energy efficiency.
Operate hand tools, laptops, and diagnostic hardware.
Maintain work schedules while remaining flexible to customer needs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
3+ years of experience as an HVAC/R or Facility Maintenance Technician in a data center, industrial, hospital, lab, or manufacturing environment (or equivalent).
Ability to work in aerial and scissor lifts up to 30 ft.
Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
May require valid driver s license.
Must be able to obtain a site security access badge.
Physical Requirements
Frequent walking, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
Ability to distinguish color coding for wiring.
Ability to read documents, operate computers, and attend meetings on site or off-site.
Some lifting/moving of light to medium materials.
Strong communication skills and ability to work professionally under stress.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Special Requirements
Must wear PPE (steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hat, etc.).
Ability to handle job-related stress and maintain performance.
Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.
Work schedule may adjust based on critical business needs.
