**Role Overview** We are seeking a **Level I Cyber Security Engineer** to join our team. You should be comfortable working in a rapid response environment addressing cyber incidents such as malware infections, phishing campaigns and network intrusions. The ideal candidate will be passionate about protecting information systems from cyber threats and be up-to-date with the latest developments and trends in cybersecurity. A successful candidate will be responsible for utilizing our industries best in class security platforms to identify, contain and eradicate risk. **Work Arrangement** + This is a 2nd Shift position and hours are 1pm - 10pm EST, Monday - Friday + Occasional On Call rotation is 1 week every 4 - 5 weeks, Monday - Sunday **Responsibilities** + Responsible for monitoring multiple corporate security platforms for signs of malicious activity + Identifies potential security control gaps + Monitors the company's proxy and content filtering solution for policy violations + Monitors the company's security information management system + Supports the implementation of controls and processes improving information security services + Assists in the preparation of security reporting and communications + Possesses basic understanding of the principles of information technology with developing knowledge in security principles, policies, tools, and procedures. + Demonstrates solid understanding in one area/platform of security. Applies technical knowledge under guidance, supervision, and well-defined work direction + Adapts and learns new procedures readily + Builds technical skills required to be able to support multiple platforms and technologies **Education and Experience** + Typical candidates will possess at least two (2)+ years of relevant experience, inclusive of school and internships + Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new and changing ideas/concepts + Develop, maintain and strengthen partnerships with other departments to provide information support and collaboration of ideas, standards and goals + Must have excellent oral and written communication skills with attention to detail + Ability to solve complex problems + Some travel may be required for seminars and training + Must be willing/able to provide an occasional 24 x 7 On-call support on a rotating schedule throughout the year + BA/BS in IT, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security or related field.
