Job Description

Description We are looking for a skilled Corporate Tax Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Tempe, Arizona. In this role, you will contribute to tax preparation, compliance, and reporting processes while ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations. This position requires someone with a strong understanding of corporate tax principles and accounting practices and great attention to detail. Responsibilities: - Prepare and review corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. - Manage sales tax filings and address related inquiries or discrepancies. - Maintain and reconcile accounts within the general ledger to ensure accurate financial reporting. - Record and analyze journal entries related to tax transactions and adjustments. - Assist in year-end tax reporting and support audits as needed. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary financial data for tax purposes. - Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance. - Provide support for tax planning initiatives and strategies. - Conduct research on tax-related issues to resolve questions or improve processes. Requirements - Proven experience in corporate tax preparation and compliance. - Knowledge of sales tax regulations and reporting requirements. - Proficiency in managing corporate tax returns and related documentation. - Strong understanding of journal entries and general ledger processes. - Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Familiarity with tax software and accounting systems is preferred.
