Matrix Providers is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our Military Service Members and their families at the United States Air Force Academy

  • Setting: Behavioral Health, Outpatient
  • Role: Conduct comprehensive assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing therapeutic interventions to clients utilizing evidence-based practices.
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30PM
    • 40 hours per week
    • No nights, no weekends

Clinical Psychologist Core Job Duties.

Clinical Assessment and Treatment:

  • Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders.
  • Conduct psychological evaluations utilizing information from clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources, as appropriate.
  • Provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups; help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries.
  • Assist in the rehabilitation of patients.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in delivering evidence-based treatment modalities, including but not limited to Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, and/or Written Exposure Therapy.
  • Practice within the guidelines of their state licensing board, American Psychological Association Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and MTF privileges.
  • Maintain accurate and current notes in both the Mental Health records of all patients seen, as appropriate, and produce reports of evaluation and/or treatment, as required.

Psychiatric Diagnosis and Evaluation Specialist:

  • Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders.
  • Conduct more comprehensive psychological evaluations to address complex diagnostic and treatment issues.

Qualifications for Clinical Psychologist Position:

  • Degree: Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology
  • Education: Graduate from an American Psychology Association-accredited college or university with a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology.
  • Internship/Residency: Successful completion of an internship in psychology
  • accredited by the American Psychological Association.
  • Experience: 2 years of professional experience working in an outpatient mental health clinic.
    • Experience delivering one or more of the following evidence based treatment modalities: Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing and/or Written Exposure Therapy.
  • Licensure: Current, complete, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, or the US Virgin Islands.
