Role Overview

As Chief Data Officer at Anime Universe,
You’ll turn data into our ultimate superpower. From shaping strategy to leveling up user experiences, you’ll lead the charge in transforming raw info into game-changing insights. You’ll champion a data-driven culture, set the gold standard for governance, and make sure our numbers always tell the right story.

What You'll Own

Strategic Leadership

• Build and lead a smart, scalable data strategy aligned with Anime Universe’s goals
• Champion a data-driven culture across the organization

Governance & Quality

• Ensure data is clean, secure, and compliant with the latest standards
• Set up strong data policies and governance frameworks

Team Leadership

• Lead and level up a team of data scientists, analysts, and engineers
• Promote continuous learning and innovation within the team

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Translate business needs into actionable, data-driven solutions
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders—tech-savvy or not

Innovation & Analytics

• Use AI and advanced analytics to find trends and unlock new opportunities
• Stay ahead of the curve with the latest in data science and tech

Data Leadership & Strategy:

• You’ve spent over a decade leading data initiatives that drive growth, shape user experiences, and power business decisions. You turn insight into impact—fast.

Technical Expertise:

• Deep knowledge of analytics, machine learning, and data governance. You design systems that are not just smart, but scalable and secure.

Team Leadership:

• You build and lead high-performing teams that collaborate, innovate, and deliver. People-first, results-always.

Global Perspective:

• You’ve run data programs across international markets, navigating cultural nuances and global dynamics with ease.

Communication Skills:

• You make complex data clear, actionable, and engaging—no matter the audience.

Seasoned Perspective:

• Minimum of 10 years in data management roles, with a proven track record in leading data-driven initiatives.​

Bonus Points For:

• Industry background in entertainment, gaming, digital media—or a passion for anime and related content
• A Master’s in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
• Certifications like CAP, CDMP, or other data-focused credentials
• Experience leading global data initiatives and navigating international markets
