Job Description

Paramount Animation is the animated film division of Paramount Pictures. Building on Paramount's 100-year history of iconic filmmaking, Paramount Animation brings visionary artists and storytellers together to form a world-class animation studio. We are currently looking to hire two experienced CG FX Artists to work on a theatrical animated feature. **Responsibilities** + Create stylized/procedural water, dust FX, earth/building destruction and light crowd work + Work efficiently within the confines of available resources, show structure and schedules as defined by production management. + Interpret and transform abstract ideas into compelling effects + Work with production management to prioritize tasks + Keep supervisors informed of progress, changes, roadblocks, and other critical issues **Basic Qualifications** + A minimum of 4+ years' experience as a FX Artist + Advanced knowledge ofHoudini required + A strong aesthetic eye for effects performance as it relates to storytelling + Working knowledge of Blender is preferred + Excellent problem-solving + Excellent communication skills Hiring Salary Range: Minimum: $2900/45hr week ($61.06/hour) Maximum: $3400/45hr week ($72.58/hour) *Weekly rates are guaranteed and include one hour of OT at time and a half into each day.The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies.
